2013-05-28 Cross Border Electricity Trading Agreement (CBETA) has been ratified by the Parliament of Turkey.

Cross Border Electricity Trading Agreement (CBETA) has been ratified by the Parliament of Turkey. Drafted and supported by HIPP, CBETA was signed by the Governments of Turkey and Georgia back in January 2012, and now the Agreement has been ratified by the Parliament of Turkey and should be signed by the President of Turkey within one week.  Effectiveness of CBETA, which sets out the general agreement of the two countries regarding the cross border trading of electricity on the new high voltage electricity transmission line that will connect the power systems of Georgia and Turkey, will definitely clear the way for many GEMM 2015 activities on hold.
